Radical Anti-Gun Bills Fails Senate
March 9th, 2013
Yesterday, the Senate rebuked an extreme bill, Senate Bill 196, that sought to hold manufacturers, distributors, sellers, and users responsible for determining the foreseeability of the future use of a firearm.
“Tonight is a victory for common sense and liberty across Colorado,” said Senate Minority Leader Bill Cadman (R-Colorado Springs). “This radical bill tried to hold law-abiding gun makers, sellers and users responsible for the illegal acts of others.”
“Personal responsibility prevailed tonight,” said Senator Mark Scheffel (R-Parker). “The fact is that these types of firearms are enjoyed by responsible, law-abiding gun owners across Colorado and this backdoor attempt to ban them would do nothing to improve public safety.”
